Today we celebrated Liam's 4th Birthday
with a Cat & The Hat theme party.
Wanted to share some of my decorating ideas with you guys. We tried to do everything ourselves to keep costs down and I think we did an amazing job.
The wreath was made with a simple yard of each : white toile red toile & blue toile. cut in 12 inch strips and tied around a straw wreath. I had the wreath or I would have made a simple wreath using a pool noodle and some tape. works like a charm and costs a buck.
So the adults wouldn't feel left out We made a photo prop area for them to take their own pics.
The windows are my favorite thing EVER! Made to measure I used easel paper that is inexpensive and comes in a huge roll. I drew the windows design and painted with craft paints. Easy to do and such a fun look. Just used packing tape to attach to the outside of the windows.
Easy and adorable.

We of course had to order the best cupcakes in town from http://splashurl.com/k5fucc4
Oviedo Publix Bakery. We wanted a creative way to display them so I covered empty boxes with polka dot wrapping paper, made some cutouts on red & white straws and used them to hold all the cupcakes.
Cheap, easy and adorable.

The cake toppers were just last minute printouts cut with a circular punch and stuck into the cakes.
Treat bags were simple red bags with Thing 1 Thing 2 cut outs stuck to the front. Filled with lots of goodies as well as a Dr Suess Book (I have been collecting these from yard sales for weeks) for each child.
Goldfish bowl full or GOLDFISH topped with Blue Thing hair so simple so cute!

DR SUESS PINATA!
We got the pinata online fairly inexpensive and did purchase extra candy and goodies to fill it to the max. The kids loved this and had a blast trying to break it open.
The bounce house was a biggest expense but the kids and adults sure enjoyed it.
Worth every penny!

At the end of the day I think we pulled off a great party. The kids and parents loved it.
